Yes the floors are done and i couldnt be happier...they are AWESOME!! Installers didnt get here till late on Wednesday Jan 11th and I didnt think they would get much done but they came in like a whiriwind and ripped the carpet out in the shake of lambs tail and then started laying the floor.

while Al was laying the floor in the bedroom, sean worked on breaking up the tile by the front door...the cats totally freaked with all that racket and disappeared most of the day except for Rambo who just HAD to see what was going on and help Al lay the tile. i finally had to lock him in the office so Al could work uninterrupted from the curious cat!!

i dont have great pictures of the completed floor but will take some soon and post them-- until then here is just a sample of the living room.

Well had a great bd dinner with scott and family Friday nite... we went to a new Sushi place owned by some friends of ours-- it was EXCELLENT... BEST SUSHI i have ever had!!! Then we went back to Scott and Teresa's place so he could open his gifts.Caleb lit his first fire in the fireplace so he was stoked and all he wanted to do from that point on was play in the fire! He is so darling and such a good kid-- i am proud to call him my grandson! Scott got all kinds of neat fireplace tools, woodrack, and fireplace screen. Teresa got him a beautiful set and it really looks great!
They got a game table for xmas - pingpong, pool, airhockey, and foozeball. Airhockey doesnt work too well as the puck doesnt go in the goal right so we played Foozeball and had a blast. i have played in years and was a total clutz but we all laughed till our sides hurt and had a super time.

i so enjoy spending time with them- they are a warm and caring couple and do a fantastic job with Caleb. I am proud of them and they are working hard on the new house to make it their own and are doing one helluva job. I couldnt ask for more!

This past weekend has been spent taking down all the xmas dec's -- oh what a job .. i finally got the tree down yesterday and all the ornaments boxed up.

I am overwhelmed right now as the cork flooring will go in on wednesday so i have to have EVERYTHING out of my bedroom and the Living Room so they can start-- right now both are a diaster area with boxes and xmas stuff everywhere but i have been bustin ass today so i think i can be pretty well ready by wednesday.

I have also begun an art journal-- i have always wanted to make one but for one reason or another just havent. When cleaning off a bookshelf the other day an journal fell out - i bought it years ago at B/N for $6.00 so i figured i would use it for my art. It has been an amazing experience and i have really had fun working on it -- i have to steal a few minutes between working to get ready for the cork floors but i have gotten several pages at least started..gessoed, painted, or more. its awesome how the pages come to life and i am excited about the new learning adventure.

My Herbal Life program is doing well and i think i have lost some weight- i didnt weigh myself when i started because to be honest i really didnt know how much i weighed... i have been so upset about this and so embarrassed that i just figured i will know when i loose a few pounds by the way my clothes fit--

The shakes are really good but they only last about three hours and then i feel the ole hunger pangs starting, but i certainly dont have any food cravings and small portions seem to fill me up quickly. I am optimistic about this and am anxious to have the pounds fall off so i can see some major progress!!

today is my son's birthday- he is now 34 years old!! wow where does the time fly to...

happy birthday son-- you have grown into a most remarkable man-- at age 16 i really thought you would be a mass murderer or worse and end up in prison-- but thankfully you made better choices than that and have grown into a responsible, loving, intelligent (i am sure u get that from me!!) and oh so caring man. i am extremely proud of you that you are... and all that you do.... you are a blessing in my life....

didnt get up till 10 cause i couldnt sleep for shit last nite-- it was after 4am when i finally really closed my eyes and then i woke up at 6 and watched the news about the coal miners deaths-- that was real uplifting-- NOT... then i finally rolled out of bed at 10 and still didnt feel like doing much --

at least i got out side xmas lights taken down today...fertilzed orchids-- god they needed it so badly--
got kitchen cleaned up- i didnt do anything last nite- -so it was really a nightmare this morning -

my memory foam mattress thing came today- -i got it on the bed-- it is AWESOME-- i am so happy i bought it-- got it on OVERSTOCK and good price-- i cant wait to fall into bed tonite and test it out-

tried to take a nap but phone rang -- some damn salesperson-- I HATE THOSE PEOPLE-- they should be taken out and hung from the phone lines-- i cant help but be rude to them-- hell they are rude to me by calling me --talk about an invasion of privacy-- RANT

had a great time with cin and her family -- dinner turned out really good-- asian chicken, brocolli and cheese sauce, baken potatoes, and geman chocolate cake for dessert which no one ad room for so i sent it home with them--
xmas gifts were good too- darling animal calendar, and a beautiful friendship book from cin-- b got me a cool purple garden ornament that twists in the wind-- sean got me a neat lightbulb scent thing-- and the kitties got TONS of new toys..

i ordered this cool fairie magazine today-- faeriemagazine got subscription for me and for Thee-- she loves faeries too-- it looks really cool--

ok its late - i am beat-- the cats are all wanting their bedtime treats-- so i am out of here for now--

well i have done it-- i am so sick and tired of all the weight i have gained that i cant stand myself so i have now started my HERBALIFE PROGRAM--- a friend of mine is a distibutor so i thought i would try this out--
i started yesterday and so far am very pleased with everything-- basically its two protein shakes along with vitamins and some other herbs and then eat a normal meal--

i got the vanilla shake and it is very tasty-- no chalk flavor no aftertaste-- the vitamins are good too- have to take them three times a day but there is no aftertaste or indigestion from them... they also have a really good herbal tea which can be mixed up in cold or hot water-- has a slight lemon flavor and give u an energy boost--
i eat granola for breakfast with protein powder on it -- take my vitamins and other pills-- then lunch and dinner i have the vanilla shakes. i havent been hungry at all and my energy is sustained through out the day-- havent even taken a nap in the last two days--

so i am starting the New Year off right-- next will be to quit smoking again -- yeah i started back up-- damn it--
there is a hypnosis class tomorrow but there is no way i can possibly do it as i am having Cindy, Tom, Sean, and Brendon over for dinner tomorrow nite and to have our xmas together--

i sent them all an email warning them the house is a disaster since i am also cleaning ALL closets,drawers, and any thing else that isnt nailed down so stuff is strewn everywhere-- but they are super good friends and know they will understand!!!!

so its after midnight-- i need to get the trash ready to take out tomorrow- so gotta get goin-- more tomorrow

wow hard to believe the year is over - it sure flew by-- guess i am getting old-- YEAH that is for sure--
i just spent New Years Eve with my good friend Thea, who lives five seconds from me-- we ate like piggies, drank like fishies-- and at midnight-- lit some sparklers, tooted the silly horns i had bought and brought in 2006.,. the cats werent too happy with the horn tootin!! they ran like rabbits to hide!

we made a list of things we want to manifest in 2006 and then got out our tarot cards to see what the new year might bring--
it was interesting for sure-- forgiveness for me-- wow amazing - hit home -- i need to forgive alot of folks in my life-- i couldnt believe how this message was really meant for me-- so tomorrow i will get out my list and begin my forgiveness ritual--

2005 was overall a good year--i do miss my beautiful loving friend Arlette and do so wish she was still here with me-- i think that was the biggest blow to me for the entire year.... yet i am so grateful to have had her in my life for as long as i did-- what a tremendous blessing she was!

i am grateful for all my wonderful friends, my darling kitties, my beautiful home, for my health, and for all the joy that Life brings to me--
so i close the chapter on 2005 and look forward to the new chapters and experiences of 2006
