I have been working on redoing a friend's web site..lots of pages so lots of time and effort, but also lots of fun!! once i have completed it, will post url here! she is so happy to have a new site as hers is really in need of change and better layout!

It has been a good thing to have something to do where i can sit as i hurt my knee last week. Ready for a good laugh?

i feed the sandhill cranes - a whole family of mom and dad and two babies. Have fed them ever since i moved in house and never had a problem with them. Last tuesday they were in the yard and the feeder was empty so i went out and filled the feeder and all of a sudden the male crane got super pissed off and started jumping around and coming after me. He started attacking me and chasing me so i was backing up quickly and slipped on the wet grass and fell.

Once i was on the ground, he stopped the attack which i was relieved about. i fell on my left shoulder which hurt like hell right away and is still sore but later in the day my knee started hurting really badly.

i had torn my ACL several years ago and was really worried that i had reinjured it.
i have been staying off of it -- working on web pages-- but it wasnt getting any better so Friday i went to doc.

Turns out i have a torn meniscus. It is a shock-absorbing cartilage in the middle of your knee. There are two menisci - one on the inside ("medial") and another on the outside of the knee ("lateral").

So am now taking a heavy anti inflammatory and will see the doc in two weeks. If not healed -- MRI but i am sure it will be well by then. i just have to take it easy and for sure NOT feed the cranes!!

My best friend Thea who lived just down the street from me, moved into her new house on Thursday. The new house is GREAT and so much like the house here that she left...i am so happy for her and she is only about five minutes away so that is very good.

Well hard to believe over a month has gone by since I last posted here! Been busy with making new web page and tonite it is finally at least done enough to upload and get on line with it.

I have learned a lot of new techniques, explored some new software, and it feels good to learn so many new things.

Web pages are always difficult even though when one starts them it seems like it will be a breeze.

I broke down and used an HTML Editor this time and have to say I did really like it. Coffee Cup Software has some really great products and I ended up buying several of them.

Their web page editor is very very good and the upload feature is worth the price of the program. They also have a great photogallery, flash button, and flash banner program too.along with a cool jukebox.

They have excellent customer support in their forums. I was very impressed with the people who posted there and who helped when I had problems.

On top of working on web page, I have been purging every thing in my house. Going through all the closets, drawers, you name it -- and getting rid of all the stuff I don't use or need anymore.

I thought I was being smart when I decided to clean out everyroom at once- well empty closets etc-- I did it because I know what a terrible procrastinator I am and I figured if I did it all at once I would be better off. The only problem with that is that the entire house is a horrible nightmare and the clutter is close to unbearable.
Last weekend was a community yard sale and I made out pretty good-- sure got rid of tons of stuff so that was the whole point.

I was going to work this week in getting house back together but then got sick-- some creeping crud that knocked me flat on my back for four days.
I have only felt better today and am not up to snuff yet.

It's late - I am beat- so am gonna hit the hay.
